Why we are different

A Small Centre with a Big Heart

At Memory Lane, we intentionally keep our groups small. We understand that for many people living with dementia, large, busy environments can feel overwhelming, confusing, or unsettling. By maintaining a smaller and more intimate setting, we are able to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and valued.

Our smaller group size allows us to get to know each person individually—their interests, personalities, life stories, and preferences. This helps us provide meaningful support and activities that are tailored to the people who attend our centre.

One of the things families often tell us is that Memory Lane feels like a family. We take great pride in creating an environment where friendships can flourish, laughter is shared, and everyone feels a sense of belonging. From the moment someone walks through our doors, they are welcomed into a caring community where they are treated with kindness, respect, and understanding.

We believe that these close relationships are what make Memory Lane special. Our staff, clients, and families work together to create a warm and supportive environment where no one feels alone and everyone is encouraged to be themselves.
